ILLUSTRATION
By clicking on any image, you can switch to presentation viewing mode. All of the following artwork was drawn from my imagination and personal inspiration. I never copy or trace other artists’ work. Except for a few well-known characters like Spiderman and Superman, most of the illustrations below also contain original concepts and characters.
⋅ COMIC STRIPS ⋅
Samples of my work from the books “Mathematics for Economists”, “Finance” & “Differential Equations” for a major Greek publisher of University books.
Chapter 32: Consumer rationalism as a cornerstone of Economical Science. Store says: “Workout equipment: Couchpotato & Son”, “Shocking Offer: Get 1 for the price of 2!!!”. Guy says: “Run I tell you! I found a great deal here!!!”
Good news is that the eigenanalysis of your company’s economical factors indicated great profits… Bad news is… that these profits lie on the imaginary number axis…!!!
Miss, I just optimized the function f(effort, intelligence, studying, time), and based on the marginal values, I calculated that no matter how flexible you are at grading the final exam, there’s no way I’ll miss… absolute zero!!!
Solve the differential equation… hmm… Don’t know how this equation is different from the others, but anyone who can solve this… should be tied up! (Greek phrase meaning someone is crazy)
…..This isn’t Linear Programming….!!!
Ladies and gentlemen, if your company was a Markov process, and if Markov processes were cartoons… this would be the picture of your company’s next state!
Conditional Probability: The young man over there fell off his balcony from the 5th floor… The guy I’m pushing here found a penny beneath the young man’s balcony and stopped to pick it up!!!
Well, what could happen if we were to raise the interest of your wrecking ball loan again???
Evil little girl: “I will lend you my doll… but because I’ll miss her, you will return it to me along with two of yours!” Newspaper guy: “Your kid is really something…!!!” Novel lady: “She’s not mine, she’s the banker’s child from across the street!!!”
“Hi! I’d like to apply for a student loan to pursue my interests in typewriting! Don’t worry, as soon as I’m in the business… I’ll pay it off in no time!!!”
For the last time: I’m sorry but you cannot mortgage your house!
“Shouldn’t have explained the butterfly effect to a stock market investor it seems!!”
Frame 1: Arrows: “Economist, Writer, Student” (Magician holds a Euro bill) Frame 2: Economist: “…amateurs!!!”
Samurai: “Bond-horu-der Hairu-Cutto!!!” Banner: “Bonds”
Mr Epaminondas calm down! I’m telling you, your money isn’t gone …..it’s just in someone else’s possession now!!!”
“Mr Peace, I believe you misunderstood what I meant about your company’s risks” (Store name: “GROCERY, PEACE and SONS”)
G: Glasses guy D: Deodorant guy G: If my stomach was capital I’d be a multi-millionaire! For every ounce I gain, my net weight is compounded! D: Are you an accountant? G: No, I’m a major investor of 30 weight-loss centers!
Left to right: “It is now crystal clear how things ended up like this!” “…” “Talk about a prediction after the fact”
Dear Mr Pity, aside from retroactively doubling your loan’s interest, we also took the liberty of preventively charging you a discount fee -for your own benefit- in case you wanted to consider prematurely paying off the remainder of your loan. We are always at your service should you need anything…!!!
Passing through student’s ears: “Cash flow is the net amount of cash and cash-equivalents moving into and out of a business” Geek: “…and ears it seems!”
Left to right: “Nobody cares about us, now that we’re old…” “Ha! You wish… Try skipping a few bills this month!!!”
-You sure this is safe? -Yeah, no worries, everything is based on a few simple differential equations… -Then why am I in HERE and not YOU??!! -…
Run for your lives!!! They’re trying to eliminate us!!!
Wow! These series are great! I found multiple solutions to my problem! Um… what was I solving again???
Predicting the stability of things is so awesome! Too bad I didn’t predict that nobody would be here to see this!
-Aaah..!!! Now I get why they’re called Difference Equations! Because they’re like the game “FIND THE DIFFERENCES” but in this case it’s regarding equations! -You have n-1 attempts left Toto…
Hmm… Which dress of mine should I wear today? Cartesian or Exponential?
The boundary conditions are very entangled. I’d better separate them using the golden section theory…!
“…they say that whoever passes through this waterfall ends up in the world of s!!!”
N/A translation unfortunately! Guy says he can’t express a function using a cosine. Word play with Fourier and greek slang “fouriete” meaning fit/match/dress up
-You are testing us on Partial Equations sir, could you please be partially lenient while grading this…? -Your time is partially over!!!
(Greek idiom) -Mom! I solved (in greek solve is a synonym for “un-tie”) Riccati’s differential equation using the Runge-Kutta method!!! -I don’t know who this Duccati (or whatever you said) is nor do I understand any of the jibberish you’re spitting out, but you better tie it back together, before he notices, otherwise you’ll be in trouble!
Mirror mirror on the wall… show me the F(ω)…!!!
-Today we will briefly go over the following transformations: Abel, Bateman, Cosine, DFT, Euler, Fourier, Galilean, Hilbert,…. -Whaaa?? We gonna go through the whole alphabet or somethin’…??? -…yes, in fact we’ll wrap things up with the Z Transform.
Frame 1: “Quiet please!!!… some of us are working in this household!” Frame 2: “Why, whatcha doin’?” Frame 3: “I have modeled a differential equation that should explain why I am so smart! What’s bothering me is that either my solution is wrong, or my initial conditions are wrong!!!”
⋅ CONFERENCE COVERS ⋅
Covers of the ACSTAC booklets in 2013, 2014, 2016. ACSTAC stands for Anatolia College Science and Technology Annual Conference, which is an international student conference for science and technology.
Internet of Things: Ever ascending possibilities
A humanoid robot based on “The Thinker”, (French: Le Penseur), a bronze sculpture by French sculptor Auguste Rodin.
We are where we are, because of the life and work of thousands of scientists. Each generation owes a lot to its predecessors. This was very well stated by Newton’s quote: “If we have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”
⋅ CHARACTER DESIGN ⋅
These are some samples of original characters I have designed.

ANIMATION
This section contains some extracurricular animations I created alongside my University studies in Computer Science.
“Wrapping cape system for retrieval of blocking items in tubular environments” is an international patent with a primary application in thrombectomies. I contributed to the conception, the design, and the production of the medical patent in all the stages of its development. EU Patent: EP3595547A1 US Patent: 20200085454 Japan Patent: JP7038970B2
Standing 30 years all by himself, it’s about time our “Runner” finds love. A short animation celebrating 30 years since the creation of “The Runner”, the famous glass statue by Costas Varotsos, which stands in front of the Hilton hotel in Athens, Greece. Animation concept and production by Vlasis Gogousis.
The moon rises and a broken man wanders through the fog, his heart heavy. For he is not alone, something inhuman lurks in the shadows, a devilish creature that plagues the dark corners of both the town and the man’s memories. Music will lure the beast, but only the decisions of a heartbroken man will…
The Commute is a group project that a team of 5 students (including myself) put together for an assignment during the Master’s course in 3D Computer Animation at Bournemouth University. The animation obviously has flaws, but I wanted to share this as a pivotal moment for the team, as all of us were pretty much new…
This is my first actual 3D animation ever! It was for our first animating assignment in the MA 3D Animation program at Bournemouth University. The purpose was to animate a ball undergoing emotional changes in under 500 frames (20 seconds).
A stunning stunts performer from the future, Billy Bob Thornton, the Spectacular, never fails to amaze his audience! This was my second animating assignment for the 3D Animation Master’s course at Bournemouth University. The purpose was to create an animation sequence with this specific character, named Billy Bob Thornton, overcoming an obstacle of a sort…
This is a walk cycle I made in an animating assignment for the 3D Animation Master’s course at Bournemouth University. The purpose was to create an animation cycle with this specific character.
Just a doodle of a juvenile centaur shooting arrows at mythical creatures.
Animations that demonstrate a case usage of the international patent “GoBridge”, a rigid telescopic mechanism developed by Dr. Aristides Gogoussis.
A series of educational animations for Physics. Created for a friend’s doctoral thesis concerning physical phenomena and the education of Physics.
